Capturing Play, Curiosity & Leadership at the Discovery Museum in Acton, Massachusetts

The Discovery Museum in Acton, Massachusetts, is one of my favorite places to work—not just because it’s a vibrant, hands-on museum for children and families, but because the energy there is pure magic. Over the years, I’ve partnered with the Museum to provide a wide range of commercial photography services, from public programs and family events to after-hours corporate functions and private rentals.

Each time I step through the doors, I aim to preserve the genuine moments of joy, learning, and discovery happening in real time. From candid photographs of children exploring the exhibits to full-scale event documentation, my work helps the Discovery Museum share its story with donors, guests, and the broader community.

Recently, I had the honor of working with the Museum’s newly appointed CEO, Marie R.B. Beam. As part of their leadership transition, I captured a series of natural headshots—both indoors among the Museum’s interactive spaces and outside on the museum grounds—highlighting her warm, approachable presence and connection to the museum’s mission.

My photography style is all about creating authentic, story-driven visuals. Whether it’s a high-energy family event or a professional portrait session, I bring a mix of creativity, care, and technical expertise to every frame. It’s especially meaningful to work with a place like the Discovery Museum, whose values align with my own background in education, wellness, and child-focused programming.
